Maine Coon
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Maine Coon House is a private residence in Jakarta, designed as a reflection of daily living shaped by individuality. Set within a 312 m² built area, the interior responds to the routines and interests of each family member while maintaining a cohesive spatial identity. Architecture and interior are conceived as a unified language, where structure, material, and detail work together to support both function and personal expression. The result is a home that feels considered, balanced, and closely connected to the lives within it.

Interior

The design seeks to balance personal identity with a refined spatial experience. Each room is shaped through texture, proportion, and color, creating a sequence of spaces that engage both visually and emotionally. Elements from the exterior are carried into the interior to reinforce continuity, allowing the house to feel whole rather than segmented. The intention is to create an environment that supports everyday living while offering depth, warmth, and a sense of quiet character.

THE SPACE
The living room and pantry form the central social core, where openness is defined through layers rather than boundaries. Rugs, partitions, ceiling treatments, and bespoke lighting articulate zones while maintaining visual continuity. Material repetition, particularly in wood and natural stone, strengthens the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. Private areas are shaped as more introspective environments. The master bedroom frames surrounding greenery through a curved opening,
softened by muted tones and indirect light. The master bathroom uses textured surfaces as a calm foundation, allowing key elements to stand with clarity. Hobby and contemplative spaces introduce a more expressive material palette, blending natural elements with tactile finishes. Children’s bedrooms are designed with adaptability in mind, integrating storage and flexibility while subtly reflecting individual character.

THE FEEL
The interior is defined by a careful balance of materiality, light, and atmosphere. Natural textures create sensory depth, while indirect lighting introduces a sense of calm and intimacy. Movement through the house feels fluid, transitioning naturally between shared and private spaces. Each room carries its own identity, yet remains connected through a consistent language of material and form. The result is a home that feels warm, refined, and deeply personal, offering an experience that is both functional and emotionally grounded.
