I AM
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
I AM, completed in 2025 in Bandung, is a multi-sport center designed to bring diverse athletic passions under one roof. Situated on Jl. Sumber Asih, facing both a busy intersection and the toll entrance and exit, the building asserts a bold presence while accommodating gym training, running, basketball, tennis, and curated sports classes. Every element responds to its users, from children to the elderly, creating an inclusive environment that celebrates movement for all.

Architecture
The design merges distinct sports cultures into a unified architectural statement. It is an ecosystem of activity where each program informs the spatial experience. Movement becomes an expressive layer of the architecture, visible and celebrated, while the building’s form addresses the challenges of a dense, high-traffic urban site.
THE SPACE
The building is organized into four interrelated masses: a public zone with a jogging track and basketball court visible from the street; a semi-public central lobby connecting all arenas; private spaces including the gym, premium tennis court, and class studios; and a wellness zone integrating spa, physiotherapy, massage, and aquatic facilities.
The façade is treated as a second skin, pulled outward to create depth, visual impact, and a dynamic interface with the street. Elevated jogging paths turn everyday exercise into a kinetic layer, while the basketball court is acoustically and visually contained for focus. Efficient floor planning and clear circulation optimize every square meter on the constrained site.
THE FEEL
Materiality balances raw, industrial textures with bold accents to reflect the duality of the building: disciplined yet expressive. Natural kamprot textures, textured paint, and monochrome tones ground the architecture, while terracotta and color highlights energize it. At night, lighting transforms the façade into a glowing urban marker, asserting its presence in motion. I AM is more than a sports center; it is an architectural identity that celebrates energy, inclusivity, and the rhythm of urban life.
