PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The interior of North Pine House is conceived as a deliberate contrast to its restrained exterior. While the architecture expresses clarity and simplicity, the interior introduces a more layered and expressive environment, shaped by Modern Neo-Classical and American Classic influences. The result is a curated living experience that balances elegance, comfort, and visual richness.

The design aims to create a sense of refinement without losing warmth. Classical elements are reinterpreted through a contemporary lens, allowing the space to feel timeless rather than ornamental. The interior becomes a place of retreat, where detail, proportion, and materiality shape a more intimate and immersive atmosphere.
THE SPACE
The central living area is defined by a dramatic double-height volume that anchors the home. This space accommodates both formal and informal activities, with seating arrangements carefully composed to encourage conversation and comfort. Full-height openings maintain a continuous connection to the surrounding forest,
allowing natural light to interact with the interior throughout the day. The upper mezzanine overlooks the main living space, reinforcing vertical connectivity while introducing a more private layer within the home. Bedrooms and supporting spaces are arranged to balance openness with privacy, ensuring each area feels distinct yet connected.
THE FEEL
Material and color define the interior character. A high-contrast black and white palette establishes a strong visual identity, while panel moldings introduce rhythm and depth across walls. Marble surfaces enhance the sense of luxury, reflecting light and adding a refined texture.
Furnishings combine softness with structure. Leather seating, curated cabinetry, and layered textiles create a balanced composition between comfort and formality. Lighting plays a central role, with sculptural pendant installations emphasizing the height of the space while creating a sense of intimacy below.
The overall atmosphere is composed and elegant, yet deeply livable. It is an interior that feels curated rather than decorated, where every element contributes to a cohesive and elevated experience.
