Evara House
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Evara House is a private residence in Tangerang, designed as a layered interior environment that supports social living, private retreat, and long-term flexibility. The project transforms a contiguous site into a cohesive yet multi-faceted home, functioning both as an extension of the main residence and as an independent space for guests and family activities.
Careful spatial planning allows the house to maintain privacy while responding to site conditions, turning topography and spatial constraints into defining features. The result is an interior that feels connected, adaptable, and clearly structured around everyday living.

Interior

The interior design responds to a family that values both hosting and personal space. The intention is to create a home that accommodates gatherings with ease while preserving moments of quiet and intimacy.
Soft, organic forms and natural materials shape the visual language, introducing warmth and a sense of calm. Openness and privacy are carefully balanced through layout, orientation, and material expression, allowing each space to feel welcoming yet composed.

THE SPACE
From the moment of entry, the interior establishes a calm, resort-like atmosphere, with direct views toward the garden and pool. Living and dining areas are organized as a continuous social core, maintaining strong visual connections to the outdoor landscape while supporting fluid movement. Functional elements such as the pantry are integrated discreetly, preserving the clarity of the main spaces.
Children’s areas are thoughtfully embedded within the layout. A tatami-inspired nook beneath the staircase creates a quiet corner for play and
reflection while remaining visually connected to the central living space. Curved lines guide circulation throughout the house, softening transitions and creating a more intimate, human scale.
Material selection reinforces this approach, with rattan, green marble, wood textures, and custom lighting drawing from natural forms. These elements create continuity across spaces while adding depth and variation to the interior experience.

THE EXPERIENCE
Light enters the home through skylights and landscaped openings, enhancing double-height volumes and strengthening the relationship between interior and exterior. The atmosphere shifts subtly throughout the day, shaped by natural light, material textures, and spatial layering.
Spaces are designed to support a range of experiences, from quiet moments in the library overlooking a Kamboja tree to more active and social areas for family interaction. Flexible zones, including the library and support wing, allow the house to adapt over time without disrupting its overall coherence.
Evara House offers an interior that feels both social and introspective, where daily life unfolds naturally within a setting that is calm, refined, and deeply connected to its environment..
